TJ Bell Hopes to Keep Momentum Going at Michigan International
* Carrying Momentum to Michigan...The Michigan 200 will mark TJ Bell's third Camping World Truck Series start at Michigan International Speedway. In two previous starts Bell started 17th and 18th respectively and earned 20th place finishes in both events. Bell drove a Ford in his first MIS race in 2007; he piloted a Chevrolet in his second start and he will be behind the wheel of the #11 Toyota Tundra for his third event in Michigan. Bell and his team hope to keep the momentum from Texas Motor Speedway going this weekend. After four races where Bell was marred with bad luck, he and the team turned that streak around in Texas with a 14th place finish.
* Think Pink....TJ Bell will be wearing pink under his fire suit this weekend as he takes to the track at Michigan International Speedway. His future Mother-In-Law, Linda Gamboa was diagnosed with Breast Cancer two weeks ago and will undergo surgery on the Tuesday before the race. Bell will don the pink to show support for his fiance's family and to let them know he is thinking about them while he is Michigan.
* New Teammate for Bell...Red Horse Racing has two young guns in their stable starting this weekend. 28-year-old Bell will be joined by another 28-year-old, Timothy Peters. In fact both have August birthday's and were born just four days apart. Bell is looking forward to Peters coming on board and working together. "I'm excited that Timothy is joining the team. He's a talent driver and he's a cool guy. I hope we can learn something from each other and really bounce ideas off one another that will help both of our teams."
TJ Bell on racing at Michigan International Speedway "I'm excited to get to Michigan. It's another big track like California where we had our best run earlier this year. Michigan is a fast, multi-grooved track that is a lot of fun to drive. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going and get another solid finish this weekend. We have some ground to make up in the points but we're not giving up."
Crew Chief Rick Gay on Michigan International Speedway "I'm looking forward to Michigan. We had some bad luck but we've put that behind us and are working on getting the #11 Tundra back up front where it belongs. We've got some momentum building from our 14th place finish at Texas and we are taking the same truck to Michigan. We don't want to leave there with anything less than a top-10 finish."
Equipment Information The #11 Red Horse Racing team will compete with chassis # 65 in the Michigan 200 at Michigan International Speedway. Bell raced this truck at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway where he finished 12th and 14th respectively.
