Colin Braun No.6 Con-way Freight Ford F-150
"Michigan looks like a great track. From the races I've watched, and everyone I've talked to about it, there is plenty of room for racing because it's such a wide track. It's also a track where handling is very important because it's so fast. If the leaders pull away from you it's hard to catch up without a caution. I had some trouble in Texas last week, so I'm looking to put that behind me and not let that happen again.
"We are going to have about 400 Con-way Freight guests at MIS this weekend celebrating their 25th anniversary, so this would be a great race to get my first win."
Crew chief Mike Beam on racing at Michigan:
"Winning at Michigan is a big deal for everyone on our team. It's kind of like Roush's home track since Roush Industries is up the road in Livonia. It's also home to Ford (Dearborn) and Con-way Freight (Ann Arbor) so I think everyone feels some added pressure to do well. We do our best every weekend, but getting a win up there would really mean a lot to all of us."
Bobby East No.09 Zaxby's Ford F-150
"I am really looking forward to racing at Michigan this weekend. I got my best career finish at Texas last weekend and we're taking the same truck back to Michigan this week. Chad Norris and the guys have given me the best equipment I've ever driven so this is an exciting opportunity for me. I've only raced at Michigan twice, once in a Nationwide car and once in a truck, but it's an awesome track. It's so wide and smooth that it makes for great racing. I'm ready to get back in this Zaxby's F-150 this weekend and try to improve on our eighth-place finish from Texas."
Crew chief Chad Norris on racing at Michigan International Speedway:
"Bobby did a great job at Texas last weekend. We had planned on taking the same truck to Michigan, and since it came out of Texas unscathed that saved us a bunch of work. He's been watching the DVD of the Texas race to see how he lost spots on his restarts toward the end of the race. If we can get him up in the top five at MIS, we want to do everything we can to keep him up there this week."
Erik Darnell No.99 Northern Tool + Equipment Ford F-150
"Michigan is one of those tracks that allow drivers to go up to four-wide down the front stretch. It's a track known for long green runs, and I think that can be an advantage for our Northern Tool + Equipment team. We've run well this season under long green-flag racing and I'm hoping for it to continue at MIS. This NT+E team has suffered some bad luck the past couple of weeks and I think MIS is a great place for our luck to change."
Crew chief Matt Puccia on racing at Michigan International Speedway:
"Track position is key if you want to have a good run at Michigan. Since it's so difficult to pass, we need to put up a great qualifying time Saturday morning. It's a track with wide, flat corners that can lead to some exciting racing. This track reminds me a lot of California; a track that Erik ran well at back in February. Erik will be driving a brand new truck this weekend. The truck did very well during several wind tunnel tests and I'm hoping for this Northern Tool + Equipment team to have a good day come Saturday afternoon."
