Kinser Looking for Strong Run at Michigan

BROOKLYN, MI -- Following a season-best finish of 15th place at the Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) last Friday night, Kraig Kinser and Morgan-Dollar Motorsports (MDM) are ready to take to the Michigan International Speedway (MIS).

The top-15 finish felt more like a win for the team after having a string of discouraging runs, but the No. 47 Ginn Resorts Silverado team has never hung their heads. Kinser, a Bloomington, IN native, is ready to tackle the high speeds of the 2-mile D-shaped MIS and is encouraged to get another solid finish over Father's Day weekend.

Kinser started 19th and finished 22nd in the 2006 NCTS event at MIS and has also competed in an ARCA event, where he started 2nd and finished 9th. Having raced at MIS in the past, Kinser is confident Michigan can be another strong track for him and his team.

"This will be my second truck race at Michigan, and I have also run an ARCA race there the year before," Kinser said. "I am glad that I have laps under my belt there, so it makes the practices easier. I won't have to get as used to the track, and can focus right away on the set-up of the truck. Morgan-Dollar has been successful at MIS also, and Eric Phillips (crew chief) has a couple of wins there, so I am ready to get to the track. Michigan is such a fast, high speeds track, and I am sure that the fans will see a great race."
