Bobby Hamilton's First Ride at Michigan was in a Tow Truck
Remembering When: "I remember the first time I ever saw Michigan International Speedway. I was a tow truck driver and I got a call in Tennessee to come tow a tour bus that had turned over in Michigan about 10 miles from the track. They waited on me for hours until I drove up there and I hooked up the bus and decided instead of driving straight home, I would run by the race track and check it out. When I got there I talked to a security guard on duty and he let me walk out on the track. I stood there in the turn and looked out at the track and was like wow. I dreamed that day of getting the chance to drive there, but didn't realize it would ever be a reality."

Please come by and check out the low payment options."
If I Were A Race Fan: "If I were a race fan Michigan would be one of the tracks that I would definitely want to go to. I think that track gives the drivers a lot of leeway for a great race. We can drive so many grooves at that track and so it is action packed all the time. I mean the speeds are high, and the track is slick so it really gets out from under you if you don't watch it. I would only attend about five races a year, and Michigan would be right at the top of my list. Fans will see a great Craftsman Truck Series race and the Nextel Cup race on Sunday should be a great too."
* The Tennessee native will be racing Slim Shady in Michigan this weekend.
* Last year Hamilton finished fifth in Michigan.
* If Hamilton starts at Michigan, then he can be the 11th driver to win two million dollars in this NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
* This week, on Tuesday and Wednesday, Hamilton will be testing at the Milwaukee Mile.
Making Laps in Michigan: "This track is one of those that we never qualify well, but end up racing really competitive. It's just like we qualified in Texas last week. My truck was perfect for qualifying but with the drag package that we run, we can never get up to speed by ourselves. It's always good in the race though. Basically we will do the same thing we did last week, start wherever we land and work our way to the front really fast. It's time to start racking up those bonus points and drive more defensively."
