Timothy Peters Looking Forward to Short Track Style of Memphis

* Carrying Momentum to Memphis...With just two races behind the wheel of the #17 Toyota Tundra, Timothy Peters had two impressive runs to build momentum for his new team. Peters brought home an eighth place finish two weeks ago at Michigan International Speedway and last weekend in Milwaukee, he ran in the top-10 until an ill-timed caution came out just as Peters was making his green flag pit stop. The #17 team plans to carry the momentum from those two top-10 runs to Memphis Motorsports Park where they plan to capture an even better finish. Peters and his team have their sights set on Victory Lane and taking home that Elvis trophy.

* New to Memphis...Not to Flat, Short Track Racing...Peters has only two Camping World Truck Series starts at Memphis Motorsports Park but he is no stranger to the dynamics of the track. In 2005, Peters started ninth and finished 18th. The following year, he improved his performance by earning a 12th place finish. He attributes that success to a lifetime of flat, short track racing. Peters grew up racing on tracks like Memphis so he is comfortable on the tight turns of the Tennessee .75-mile tri-oval.

* Peters Takes Time for Kids at St. Jude...Before taking to the track at Memphis Motorsports Park, Timothy Peters and his Red Horse Racing teammate TJ Bell will be making a trip to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Peters will be taking a tour of the facility and signing autographs for the patients on Friday morning.

* Wedding Bells to Ring Three Times at Red Horse Racing...Three of RHR's own are getting married over the two off weekends coming up. #17 Crew member Chris Taylor is getting married on July 3rd in Cornelius, NC to Jennifer Mussard. Crew chief Chad Kendrick will marry Katie Hull on July 4th in Greensboro, NC and Crew Chief Rick Gay will marry RHR's Public Relations Manager, Sarah Holladay on July 11th in Kansas City, KS.

Timothy Peters on racing at Memphis Motorsports Park "I really like Memphis. It's a true short track like I'm accustomed to. I've run well there in the past and I'm really hoping we can capitalize on the momentum we have going right now. This is such a great race for the fans but it's also a hot race for them. Memphis is such a great place to go to. I've only experienced downtown once and it has such a unique atmosphere. I'm looking forward to trying some of that famous Memphis BBQ and focus on taking home the Elvis trophy."

Crew Chief Chad Kendrick on Memphis Motorsports Park "Memphis is like a repeat of Milwaukee. With it being a short track, which is where Timothy really runs well, I feel like we can contend for a win there and we are anticipating that. Timothy really likes short tracks and Memphis is definitely his type of track. Hopefully we can redeem ourselves from the mishap in Milwaukee."

Equipment Information Timothy Peters will compete with chassis # 137 in the 200 at Memphis Motorsports Park. This is the same chassis he drove last weekend at The Milwaukee Mile where he started sixth and finished 18th.
