MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Despite a loss of brake function in mid-race, Lance Hooper managed to finish 25th and among the trucks on the lead lap in the O'Reilly Auto Parts 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) race at the Memphis Motorsports Park Saturday, June 19. Bobby Hamilton won the event.

"It's too bad we had some brake problems," Hooper said. "We had a pretty good truck. It would really turn, but without the stopping power, we really were stuck."

Despite the problem, Hooper's performance marked the first lead lap finish of the season for the No. 13 Microtel Chevrolet. Hooper improved to 35th in the series driver points. The No. 13 remains 31st in the owner's standings, four points from 30th and 15 points from 29th.

The circuit continues with a June 25 race in West Allis, Wis.
