Millington, TN: Fresh of his NASCAR Winston Cup Series debut last weekend at Michigan, Jason Small returned to his regular ride in the Green Light Racing Sunbelt Rentals Chevrolet and qualified 15th for the O'Reilly Auto Parts 200 at Memphis Motorsports Park. Small's qualifying lap was 23.426 seconds/115.257 mph.

"We qualified decent," Small said. "I think we may have left a little on the table driver wise. We made some changes during the practice session the afternoon and it really helped. I think we will race pretty well. We need to have consistent pit stops and I need to keep the fenders on it and we should have a good day."

Small and the Sunbelt Rentals team found the going rough in the early portion of the day's practice runs, finding themselves near the bottom of the speed charts.

"It is a testament to this team," Small continued. "We weren't that great off the truck, but again, they never gave up. They worked hard to make the changes and I really worked hard to get the feel of the track. Once we had ourselves on the same page, they could give me what I needed as a driver and we picked up some speed. I feel comfortable out there now, and I am really looking forward to the race."

This marks the season's second short track race. In the first, at Martinsville Speedway, Small finished 13th after starting 20th.

"We have a much better starting position here at Memphis than we did at Martinsville," he said. "If we can pick up the same number of positions, that will give us our best finish of the year and we'd leave here pretty happy."

The O'Reilly Auto Parts 200 will take the green flag just after 1 PM EDT
