Career at Memphis:
For the eighth time this season already, Deborah will be making her career debut at a track on the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series circuit -- this week at the Memphis Motorsports Park.
Deborah On Memphis Motorsports Park:
"I am really anxious to race at Memphis finally. Being from the Tennessee area I have heard a lot about the track but I have never actually raced on it. It looks like a pretty darn fun short track and one that provides a lot of good racing for the fans. Also, this year they have brought in lights and I do not think there is any better show than the Craftsman Truck Series racing under the lights. We are taking one of my favorite trucks this week and the guys on this BHR2 team have been doing a wonderful job in helping me adjust to these tracks that I am going to for the first time. It will be important to get the handling under us quickly when we unload so I can focus on getting some quality laps around there. I hear that you set it up to be good at one end and the other end is so different that you may struggle a little bit there -- so we will have to find that happy medium that helps us the most."
Deborah To Run On The Dirt:
"I am really looking forward to racing on the dirt in Memphis. I have only raced on dirt once before and that was about four years ago in an endurance race in Whitesville, Kentucky. I drove a very old car - like a 1982 Cutlass - in the Halloween 100. I had a blast doing it and I think this opportunity at Memphis will be a lot of fun as well. I really like to try different things in racing and this definitely will be something different. Who knows - maybe this will also be a learning experience for me as it is always helpful to get behind the wheel of any kind of race car. I look forward to also hanging around afterwards and talking with and watching these other drivers put on a good show in the main event dirt race. It sounds like we have a fun group of drivers along with Ray Dunlap of SPEED participating in our little deal - so I am really excited about it."
No. 8 DODGE At Memphis:
Deborah will be racing the truck named "Zombie" this week at Memphis. This will be the fifth race of the season for this truck with the previous races being at Kansas, Michigan, Dover (career best 12th place finish) and Gateway.
