Looking to make music at Memphis Motorsports Park in Millington, Tenn., David Starr and the Spears Motorsports crew are ready to rock and roll their way to the front when the O'Reilly 200 swings into action, Saturday, June 19.

"We're eager and motivated to make up for last weekend," said Starr who was involved in an early accident at Round 7 of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Texas Motor Speedway. "It was definitely disappointing," said Starr, but it is just part of racing. And you have to take the good with the bad and not let it get you down. Luckily for us it is still early in the season and although we slipped back a few positions a couple of good finishes will put us right back up in the swing of things. We have 17 races left so it is still anyone's game."

Piloting the No. 75 Spears Chevy Silverado, Starr has long established himself as one of the best-known drivers in the Series. A consistent top finisher, he took 7th place at Memphis in 2002.

"I'm excited about returning to Memphis," he says with one of his familiar warm smiles. "It's a fun track and offers fans great action-packed racing complete with lots of banging and bumping. Last year, unfortunately I was sidelined due to injuries suffered during a test session, so I'm doubly excited about racing here again. One of the biggest keys to doing well is a good handling truck and our Spears Chevy Silverado is right there. The more we work with Chevrolet, the better we get and with the competition as tough as it is this season, getting better is what it is all about."

Currently ranked in 14th, Starr and Spears Motorsports sit just 38 points out of the top ten. "I have a great running Spears Chevy, one of the very best crews in the industry and a fantastic sponsor," sums up Starr. "The only way to really show how grateful I am is consistently do well and that's what I am aiming for."

Qualifying for the O'Reilly 200 takes place on Friday, June 18 at 3PM and race action gets underway on Saturday, June 19 at 2PM. Complete race coverage can be seen on SPEED TV.
