CHRIS FONTAINE QUALIFIES WITH 2009 HIGH 21st AT MEMPHIS; FLAT TIRE ENDS RACE RUN.
After qualifying the Glenden Enterprises #84 NCWTS truck in the 21st spot at Memphis Motorsports Park on Saturday, Chris Fontaine had his race end early.
His right front tire went down, while running 25th on lap 62, putting the truck into the wall and damaging the suspension.
Despite pitting several times, and the team's efforts to repair the damage, Fontaine had to pull his truck behind into the garage on lap 123 while running 25th.
Fontaine is credited with 27th in the race, and he is up two positions to 28th in the NCWTS 2009 points.
Chris Fontaine said, "I'm obviously disappointed with the outcome of Memphis, but I am happy with the way my team and truck preformed. We got a 2009 high qualifying and are focused on steady improvement. Hopefully we can recover from this setback and come back strong in Indianapolis!"
The next NCWTS race for Chris Fontaine will be on Friday, July 24 at O'Reilley Raceway Park in Indianapolis, IN.
