Alex Yontz Ready For Battle At Memphis

Kernersville, NC (July 19, 2005) - 19 year old Alex Yontz will head to Memphis Motorsports Park this weekend, ready for battle in the O'Reilly 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race. He will pilot the number 61 Chevy Silverado entry.

Alex and the Yontz Racing Team tested here last weekend in preparation for this weekend's race. " I think we will be in good shape for the race," said Yontz. "I feel comfortable on the track, and we turned some really good lap times."

This will be Yontz's third Craftsman Truck Series start, after moving up from the NASCAR Late Model Stock Division. "This was a big step for us", stated Alex, but I have a great team of veterans behind me, and that makes it easier to do what I need to do, and that goal is to race.

"This young man has a lot of potential, and the determination to use it," stated Ed Berrier, Alex's Crew Chief, "I am really excited at what the future holds for this team".

Alex began racing at the age of seven, and has over 170 victories to his credit. Alex Yontz Racing will compete in a select number of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events for the remainder of the year in preparation for a full schedule in 2006.
