The No. 52 Purolator PureONE Chevrolet driven by Mike Wallace will be co-sponsored this weekend by Advance Auto Parts. Advance has been partners with Purolator and Dayco for over 40 years and Advance has been a co-sponsor of the No. 52 NASCAR Craftsman truck for two years. Advance Auto Parts will be entertaining over 100 guests at the NAPA 250. The Purolator PureONE racing team is bringing the truck they recently named "Starburst" due to its performance this season. As history goes at Ken Schrader Racing, all new trucks are named "Otis" until they earn a new and better name. "Starburst" earned its name from the three top-five and four top-10 finishes so far in the 1998 season. Starburst was also running second at IRP before the motor expired.

"This is a fast truck," said Wallace. "The No. 52 race team really did an awesome job when they set this one up. I get in it and I know that I can go out on the track and be a top runner, especially at Martinsville where I feel comfortable with the track and racing there."

Wallace has collected six top-10 finishes in the last seven races and has climbed three positions in the points standings and is currently ninth. Consistency is definitely one if the strong factors for this team in the second half of the season.

Wallace will attend an autograph session at the Martinsville Advance Auto Parts Store on September 25, from 6-8 p.m. The event will also feature a live, two-hour radio remote with WMVA.

Race: NAPA 250 Day/Date: Saturday, September 26, 1998 Time: 1 p.m. EDT TV/Radio: ESPN/NTN
