We were running good. The RSC Equipment Rental F-150 Ford was running really good and we were just out there doing what we were supposed to do -- go out there and make laps, get experience and just figure out how to run with these guys. I guess we cut a left-rear going down into one, so I guess that was probably a rookie mistake. I should have known it was going down, but I had no clue. It just snapped on me and the next thing I knew I was in the fence."
WHEN DID YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE OUT THERE? "I felt pretty comfortable right from the get-go. We had Bobby Hudson, Carl Edwards' Cup spotter spotting for me, so he did a great job up there. He really made it comfortable for me to drive out there, and my crew chief John Quinn did a really good job. I was just real comfortable right from the start -- being in there with traffic. It's all because these guys have done such a good job teaching me and telling me what to do. All of the Cup drivers and crew chiefs have been helping me out a lot, so I've got a lot of good people to gain experience from because everything they said was true, that's for sure."
JOEY CLANTON -- No. 09 Zaxby's Ford F-150 (Finished 28th)
WHAT DID YOU SEE? "Nothing, nothing at all. By the time we were in it, Gary, my crew chief, was hollering, 'Back out, back out.' I don't know if somebody was behind me pushing me, but they were sideways and into the 07."
YOU GOT YOUR LAP BACK BUT IT DIDN'T WORK OUT. "No, it didn't. Maybe we can salvage something out of this -- maybe get a lap and just get out there and run one lap. I don't know. I hate it for Zaxby's and Ford. This thing was good, but we just got put into the wall early -- pinched into the wall -- and knocked us out."
DAVID STARR -- No. 10 Int'l MAXX Force Diesel Ford F-150 (Finished 4th)
"First of all, I've got to thank everyone on this MAXX Force team. They gave me a good truck today. We had some brake problems early in the race. We'd get into one and it seemed like the truck wouldn't slow down and you had to keep braking into the corner and I would get loose. I lost a spot to Matt and to Ron just because I got loose in the corner. We worked on the brakes through the race. All we could do was just brake bias stuff and finally got them to where they were adjusted decent and I wouldn't get loose in the corners. I was able to get two or three of them, but the truck was really awesome. I thought we were gonna finish sixth. I knew we had a good truck, but everybody in front of me was working that bottom line and we were really gonna have to do something to make something happen. Going down the back straightaway, after I got the white flag, they got jammed up a little bit and I just dove to the outside and got up beside my teammate, Rick. I think he got into the 88 and kind of slowed his momentum up and I was able to get by both of them. This is a pretty awesome week for Circle Bar Racing and I'm excited to be back in the top five. It's pretty cool."
TRAVIS KVAPIL -- No. 6 K&N Filters Ford F-150 (Finished 13th)
"Craftsman Truck Series racing is just out of control if you're not one of the top three or four guys. We put ourselves in that position. Our truck was pretty good for like 10 or 15 laps and after that we would just get really loose and hurt that right-rear tire. We kind of backed up to some other trucks and then you get to beating and banging and three-wide stuff. We got in the middle of a couple of them. Fortunately, I know it looks like a pile of junk here, but it could have been a lot worse off because we made it to the start-finish line. It's terrible when there's a wreck off of turn four coming to the checkered flag because nobody is gonna lift and that's exactly what happened here. We just drove into the wreck and everybody kept piling in. We need to do better. If we were in front of all this stuff, we wouldn't be in this position. I'm really looking forward to these final few races. I think we can win a couple of them and it would be a great way to end the year."
RICK CRAWFORD -- No. 14 Power Stroke Diesel Ford F-150 (Finished 5th)
"The Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International F-Series pickup deserved a little bit better finish than fifth. I doubt we had anything for Skinner. Congratulations to Mike for winning, but we made some bold moves out there with this Ford. I don't know if we could have got Sprague or not, but we got lifted around a little bit with a lapped truck, but, anyway, we had a good run and had some fun today and brought it home."
WHAT HAPPENED ON THE LAST LAP COMING TO THE WHITE FLAG? "Hornaday put it to the outside, which he had the preferred lane. I wouldn't have really done that because there was a lot of oil dry there, but he's got some dirt track experience -- probably as much as I have. He held it up there and then him and Crafton tried to wreck each other going down the back straightaway. He made it real low in the corner and Crafton was on the outside and decided to run over my hood coming off of four, so he got turned around. It was a good run for David in his F-Series pickup. It was a good run for me. We've got two Fords in the top five and we'll be ready for Atlanta."
ERIK DARNELL -- No. 99 Northern Tool + Equipment Ford F-150 (Finished 24th)
"At the start of the race we weren't very good. Our Northern Tool + Equipment Ford wasn't where it needed to be. We made a couple of pit stops in the beginning trying to get it adjusted to where it would help us out, but we lost a lot of track position and ended up in the back fighting for position. I think we got up to 15th and then they had the big wreck on the frontstretch and we were involved in it. We just had to kind of ride around the last five laps, so it was a pretty disappointing day."
