Hamilton Will Not Change His Program
No Changing the Program: "The biggest mistake that people make is changing their program at the end of the season. We just can't do that. If I could have raced with the other two front runners in Texas for the win, I would have done it. But I wouldn't do something crazy like go three wide for victory. The points battle comes down to this, when you get to Homestead and you have to finish in a certain position, then you finish there. However right now I have four or five teams I have to try to finish in front of these last few races. These are the teams that finish in the top 10 each week. So you just can't get out there and ride around. You have to win races and collect points. I need a sponsor for next year and winning races gets you a sponsor a lot faster than a championship does."
Only Information Needed, No More: "My Crew Chief (Danny Rollins) tells me only the information I need to make sure I am on top of things during the race. Danny calls off times to me of who the top teams are after each lap. Then he compares them to me so I am aware of my competitors. That works well for us. I have a great group of guys. They have done a tremendous job with the pressure the championship hunt brings. We aren't getting caught up in the whole deal of what everyone else is doing; we mainly worry about our team. We keep up with practices and who will be tough, but remain focused on our deal. During the race, we watch what the other contenders are doing, so nothing catches us off guard. You just can't spend your time obsessing over it though. It will drive a team crazy keeping up with the Jones' as some might say. The best thing to do is run fast, and then everything else falls into place."
Racing Smart: "We just try to race smart each race. We didn't have a scratch on the truck after Texas and that is what we have to do in points racing. We just hope nobody or myself makes mistakes around us or it can cost us. We don't have the cushion for that at this point. Sometimes that stuff just happens in racing, whether it's intentional or not. The main thing is to keep a clear head and race smart."

* Bobby Hamilton leads the NCTS field with 11 top five finishes. The next closest drivers to him are Ted Musgrave and Carl Edwards, both with eight top fives.
Teammates Again: "Bobby Jr. is driving the No. 59 Harris Trucking Dodge this weekend from our stable. All of the driver's we've used so far have done a great job with that truck and been racking up those points each weekend. It moved up two spots last weekend after Sammy Sander's finish in Texas. Now it is close to 25th, and that or higher is our goal. Bobby Jr. will do a great job in the truck and it will give him some more time on the track before his Cup race on Sunday. I enjoy racing with him and being a teammate, it's always a lot of fun. He gives us great feedback and we use every bit of input we get right now. We are like Johnny Five from the movie Short Circuit, 'Need More Input!'"
