Starr on Racing at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway:
"I'm really looking forward to going back to another short track -- especially Mansfield. This Red Horse Racing team got our first win on a short track at Martinsville earlier this season, and that taught us a lot. From that win, I think crew chief Jamie Jones and I really built a lot of trust in one another. And Jamie does a great job of reminding me to keep my equipment in top condition. He really knows how to talk to me on the radio. I feel pretty confident about taking on another bull ring when we come to Mansfield. I've been able to have solid finishes at Mansfield our past two trips to Ohio, and I feel confident that we can better that ninth-place finish with the No. 11 Red Horse Racing Toyota."
Career at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway:
Starr has two NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway. Starr has finished ninth in both races at the Ohio track.
Starr on attending the Indianapolis 500:
Saturday at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway David Starr will fulfill his role as driver. Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Starr gets the opportunity to be a spectator. Starr will attend his first ever Indianapolis 500 to support friend and fellow Texan AJ Foyt. The four time Indy winner will be watching his two team machines driven by son Larry Foyt and Felipe Giaffone.
"I had lunch with AJ a couple of weeks ago and he invited me to come down and watch the race. I am really excited to get the chance to go to Indy. That place has so much history. Anyone who has ever been associated with racing in any way would love the opportunity to go," Starr said
