Timothy Peters Going For Six In A Row in New Hampshire
* Peters at Loudon...The Heluva Good 200 will mark Timothy Peters' second start at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. In only one previous start in 2008, Peters started 32nd and finished 23rd.
* Going for Six In A Row...Peters and his #17 Strutmasters.com team have been turning heads since joining Red Horse Racing. They are going for their sixth top-10 finish in a row this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Peters has never had a streak of top-10's like this in his career. It all started in Nashville with a fourth place finish. Peters brought home a 10th place finish at Bristol Motor Speedway, a ninth place finish at Chicagoland Speedway and an eighth place finish at Iowa Speedway. Last weekend he captured a seventh place finish at Gateway. Peters has earned each of these top-10's behind the wheel of a different chassis proving he can race just about anything with success.
* Pit Crew U Grad Becomes #17 Tire Changer...Rocco Antonino moved from Vero Beach, Florida to pursue a career in NASCAR. Antonino found NASCAR Technical Institute during an internet search and packed his bags for NASCAR country. While going to school at NTI, Antonino enrolled at Pit Crew U simultaneously. He graduated to the 5 off 5 on program where he honed his skills as both a front and rear tire changer. After almost two years in the program, and serving on ARCA/REMAX Series and Pro Cup Series teams, Antonino landed his first NASCAR gig at Red Horse Racing. His first race was with the #11 at the 2008 season finale at Homestead. He moved to the #17 for the 2009 season and after starting the year as a front tire changer, now serves as the rear tire changer. Antonino says he his favorite part of the job is the actual pit stops because it's a personal challenge for him to better his speed every time he goes over the wall.
Timothy Peters on racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway "I've only run at New Hampshire one time and it was last season. We are taking our Iowa truck and I'm excited about that because it ran really well in that race. Last weekend at Gateway we struggled in practice but it was really nice to see the #11 guys come over and help us. That team work gets us these top-10 finishes every week. You have to take what you can get in situations like that and make the best of it and that's what this team does."
Crew Chief Chad Kendrick on New Hampshire Motor Speedway "I'm looking forward to this race at Loudon. We raced there last year together and had an ok race. I'm confident that the truck we are bringing this week will be even better. We just need to keep plugging away and focus on those top-10 finishes. This team is more than capable of doing it every week and I think we have shown that in the past five races."
Equipment Information Timothy Peters will compete with chassis # 103 in the Heluva Good 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. This is the same chassis Peters raced at Iowa Speedway where he started 12th and finished eighth.
