"The truck didn't start off bad," said Cook. "We thought we were going to be able to adjust on it and get it to where it needed to be. The problem was that we couldn't adjust on the No. 29 Power Stroke0x00ae Diesel/Oil Mate0x2122 Ford enough under the first stop. We got the truck better, but we didn't get it to where it needed to be. We thought we went in the right direction because we picked up a little bit and worked our way up to the seventh spot. On the next stop, we made a few more adjustments. We had great pit stops all day long with the Power Stroke0x00ae Diesel Ford team. My guys were on their game and they had awesome pit stops. We worked the track position the best we could through pit cycling and sequence. Unfortunately, we just couldn't make the adjustments on the truck that we needed. The last two adjustments we made just didn't seem to work. Based on our information early on in the race, we thought that we were making the right adjustments. It just didn't work out that way. We took a truck that was going to run inside the Top-10 at New Hampshire and brought home a 15th-place finish. It's just unfortunate."

"We made the Power Stroke0x00ae Diesel/Oil Mate0x2122 Ford really tight, so we started freeing it up with wedge and it responded to it," continued Cook. "So on the next stop we took some more wedges out, but we kind of went over the edge. We took out so much it never helped us through the center of the corner, but yet it made it free in and free up off the corners and it continued to be tight through the center. The next adjustment we tried to put some wedge back in it and we worked the track bar, but that didn't help either. None of the adjustments that we made there at the end of the race seemed to help. We faltered at the end."

Crew Chief Rick Ren post race quotes -

"We started the day out pretty optimistic," said Ren. "Our guys had some really good pit stops and made adjustments to free the No. 29 Power Stroke0x00ae Diesel/Oil Mate0x2122 Ford truck up. We were up to seventh and we needed to come in for more fuel and make another adjustment. We were five laps short on fuel and needed about an extra ten laps of caution. It was questionable and there was a little bit of a chassis problem that we needed to adjust. We elected to come in and make an adjustment and put a splash of fuel in it. On the last adjustment, the truck just didn't take it. We mitered ourselves back in the field by coming in that late. A couple other teams did the same thing and their adjustments worked for them. They got back up there and run sixth, seventh or eighth. It just didn't work out for us today. Once again the guys had really good pit stops and it was a good clean race and Terry drove hard. Compared to the last few races it was a pretty good day."
