LOUDON, N.H. - After racing as high as sixth early in the race, Matt Crafton had to rally from a pair of mid-race miscues and overcome brake problems to finish 13th in the New England 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at the New Hampshire International Speedway Saturday, July 20. Terry Cook won the event.

"That finish is not indicative of how good the Menards/ColorPave Chevrolet was today," Crafton said. "We ran out of gas and had to coast in for a green-flag pit stop during the middle of the race. Then, the truck rolled off the jack and we could only get right-side tires. We went from being on the tail of the lead lap to two laps down because of that, which cost us a shot at a top-10 finish.

"We also struggled with the brakes all weekend. We just couldn't get the truck to slow down like we needed it to. I guess that to get a 13th-place finish after going through all that, we should be happier than we are right now."

The performance was Crafton's third-straight top-20 finish. He moved into a tie for 17th-place in the series point standings.

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series continues with the Michigan 200 at the Michigan International Speedway Saturday, July 27.
