TJ Bell Excited For Trip To His Home State
* Bell's Homecoming...TJ Bell is returning to his home state this weekend. The Reno, Nevada native considers Las Vegas Motor Speedway his home track and says it would mean the world to him to earn his first career win so close to home. Hopefully Lady Luck will be with him on Saturday evening and help him make that dream a reality.
* Bell at Vegas...The Las Vegas 350 will mark TJ Bell's fourth start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In three previous starts Bell has one top-10 finish that came last season when he started 13th and finished eighth. He also earned one top-10 start in 2007 when he started from the 10th position.
* #11 Team Still Building... As the season begins to wind down, Bell and the #11 team are winding up their effort in the last seven events. Bell is determined to earn a trip to Victory Lane before the year is over and he believes Las Vegas is the perfect place to make it happen. The #11 Red Horse Racing team has been building momentum in recent weeks. In six of the last seven races Bell has earned a top-15 finish. The team is looking towards the end of the year to earn even more solid finishes and end the season on a high note.
* Bell To Sky Dive In Sin City...Before the adrenaline of the race weekend kicks in, Bell will find a healthy dose of it several hundred feet in the air. He will be sky diving with SPEED Channel personality Ray Dunlap courtesy of Extreme Sky Diving Las Vegas. The thrill seekers will be sky diving on Friday morning in Jean, Nevada. After Bell catches his breath, he will be participating in an autograph session at the Stratosphere Casino on Friday evening. The night before the big jump he will be bowling in a charity bowling tournament on Thursday evening at the South Point Casino.
TJ Bell on racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway "I'm really excited for this race. I will be nice to be back in my home state and I will have lots of family and friends at the track to cheer me on. Las Vegas is a fast, fun race track. I love it! I'm also really excited about the truck we are taking. The wind tunnel numbers were awesome so I think we're going to be really good this weekend."
Crew Chief Rick Gay on Las Vegas Motor Speedway "After seeing how well our Chicagoland truck ran we were planning to take it to Las Vegas but I took a different truck to the wind tunnel last week and it was even better than the truck we planned to take. We are actually taking our Bristol truck. We've made some changes on it to make the aero package better and I look for it to be really fast in Las Vegas."
Equipment Information The #11 Red Horse Racing team will compete with chassis # 129 in the Las Vegas 350 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This is the same chassis that Bell raced at Dover and Bristol where he finished 23rd and eighth respectively.
