Sieg Comes Home 25th in NCTS Las Vegas 350

Las Vegas, Nev. -- Shane Sieg drove the Green Light Racing No. 07 Auto Air Colors/Lucas Oil Products Chevrolet to a 25th-place finish in the Las Vegas 350 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race Saturday night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Sieg started 32nd and stayed out of trouble throughout the 146-lap event to pick off positions as the evening progressed.

While Sieg was able to make up some positions as the race wore on, he and new crew chief Jerry Pitts fought handling issues that prevented the combination from moving into the top-20.

"It was skating around real bad all night," Sieg said. "We survived to the end. Some of the guys at the top of the points had a rough night, so just making it to the end is an accomplishment. I learned a lot working with Jerry for the first time, and I think our communication started off on the right foot. It's in one piece and we can take it to California. Hopefully some of the things we learned here tonight help us there."

Sieg and the No. 07 Auto Air Colors/Lucas Oil Products Chevrolet will tackle the California Speedway next Saturday night when the green flag falls on the American Racing Wheels 200. The race is scheduled for a 10 P.M. Eastern start, and will be televised live on Speed Channel. The race will also be heard live on select affiliates of the Motor Racing Network, and will be live on NASCAR Radio 144 on XM Satellite Radio. TruckSeries.com will provide live updates throughout practice and qualifying as well as full post-race coverage at www.truckseries.com.
