Chase On Las Vegas:
Chase is coming off a solid 17th place finish last week in his first visit to the New Hampshire International Speedway. The 20-year old looks forward to another strong showing this week in Las Vegas.
"I think everyone looks forward to racing in Las Vegas. The track is a first class facility and it really mirrors the excitement of the town. I think we have made some good progress on our speedway program as we have completed some testing where we have found some things that really seem to fit my driving style. I think we will have a very strong truck this week and if the breaks go our way -- we could be in for an awesome race. To add to the excitement, we have some thrilling things going on with new sponsors Alpine Engineered Products, Inc. and a really cool deal we are doing with the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino."
#8 DODGE at Las Vegas:
Chase will be racing the truck named "Hulk" this week. This will be the sixth race of the season for "Hulk" and it has been a successful one for the team on the 1.5 mile tracks. The truck was raced last week at Nashville and before that at Michigan, Kentucky, Kansas and Texas.
The BHR2 team, along with their two teammates at Bobby Hamilton Racing (Bobby Hamilton and Chad Chaffin), will set up shop during their stay in Las Vegas at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino. In return for the generous hospitality, this partnership will find the Stratosphere logo on the DODGE trucks of all three BHR drivers. Chase Montgomery and Chad Chaffin will participate in an autograph session on Friday evening from 8:00 -- 9:00 p.m. in the casino where Chaffin's #18 Dickies show truck will also be on display all weekend. Also, Chase will make a second appearance at the Sports & More store inside the Towers shop on Sunday from 4:00 -- 5:00 p.m.
"What a neat deal this is," said Chase. "To partner with the most imposing structure in Las Vegas is an honor and the entire BHR team looks to put on a great show for them. On top of all of this, I turn 21 next week and I plan to celebrate it with style at the Stratosphere."
Alpine Engineered Products, Inc. has come on board with Chase and his BHR2 for the next four races starting this week in Las Vegas. The Alpine logo and company slogan (Technology Driven) will adorn the rear quarter panels of #8 DODGE. The program is a marketing support tool for the upcoming Building Component Manufacturer's Conference (BCMC) in Charlotte next month which is the largest trade show of the year for Alpine and its industry.
Career at Las Vegas:
Chase will be making his second career debut at the 1.50 mile-oval of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Last season he finished 36th at the track while piloting the #27 TRIMSPA ride in the NASCAR Busch Series.
