TJ Bell Eager To Get To Kentucky
* Bell at Kentucky... The Built Ford Tough 225 will mark TJ Bell's fourth Camping World Truck Series start at Kentucky Speedway. In three previous races in 2003, 2005 and 2008, Bell finished 29th, 16th and 25th. He earned his best start on the 1.5-mile tri-oval in 2005 when he started from the 21st position.
* #11 Heads to Rockingham... Bell and his #11 Red Horse Racing team used the two weeks off to work on making their team even better. The crew tested Rockingham Speedway for two days during an open test session sponsored by Toyota. They used the time to work on different set-ups and get Bell more laps behind the wheel of the #11machine.
* Bell Goes West...It wasn't all work and no play for Bell during his time off. Just after the race in Memphis, Bell headed back to his hometown of Reno, Nevada. The day after the test, Bell was jet setting again but this time he was off to Kansas City to attend the wedding of his crew chief Rick Gay on July 11th.
TJ Bell on racing at Kentucky Speedway "After watching the Nationwide Series race at Kentucky Speedway, we learned that it's going to be a very bumpy race. The only way we can really help that is to get the right shock package in the truck and try to avoid some of the bumps on the track, but most of it we will just have to deal with. I really like the track and I've had some good runs there in the past. This season hasn't gone the way we wanted it to so I told the guys these two weeks off cleaned the slate and we are starting over with race one in Kentucky."
Crew Chief Rick Gay on Kentucky Speedway "When I raced at Kentucky Speedway a few years ago I hit on some stuff that I think will really help us this weekend. I think we have a really good set-up for the track and I'm anxious to see what happens when we unload. We spent time at Rockingham Speedway last week running through some changes that will really help TJ's feel of the truck and make him fast in Kentucky. We're looking forward to getting there and seeing how it all pays off."
Equipment Information The #11 Red Horse Racing team will compete with chassis # 93 in the Built Ford Tough 225 at Kentucky Speedway. This is the same chassis Bell tested at Rockingham Speedway last week. He also raced it at California Speedway where he finished fifth and Kansas Speedway where he was involved in an accident and finished 22nd.
