Timothy Peters on Marcus Richmond Being Named Crew Chief: "I have worked with Marcus since my late model days. Until I came to Bobby Hamilton Racing he was the only crew chief I had ever known besides my dad. We had a ton of success on the short tracks in Virginia. In fact, we won 36 late model races and three championships together in three years. He is my best friend on and off the track. This will provide us an opportunity to see what we can do. Danny Gill is going to be the competition director for both the No. 18 and the No. 4 truck. He will be there to guide Marcus in the right direction. Marcus has been with me every step of the way and for us to have success together in the truck series would really mean a lot to me."
Peters on Kentucky Speedway: "I really like the racetrack. I ran the race last year and we missed the step up entirely so it ended up being a rough night. I am confident when we go back this time it will be a different story. We were fast right from the start last year in practice and I was able to get comfortable fairly quickly with the truck. That will be a big help when we go back this weekend. We have had some great runs going the past couple of weeks so I am looking forward to going back to Kentucky. Last year, the track was not to kind to the BHR stable so we are hoping for a better weekend this time around."
Meeting the King: "A couple of weeks ago Richard Petty, Kyle (Petty), Dale Inman and Robbie Loomis all came to visit Bobby (Hamilton Sr.) on their way to Sonoma. Bobby told me to come and hang out with them and of course I jumped at the opportunity. We all sat around the conference table and had lunch. Bobby and Richard started telling stories from the older days. I have not seen Big Bobby laugh that hard in a long time. Things in racing are so different now than they used to be that's for sure. I sat back and thought for a moment at who all was sitting around me and how much of an impact they have had on NASCAR. Richard and Dale have so much success together and then you add Kyle, Bobby and Robbie into the mix and it was an awesome moment to realize I had a seat at that same table. It will be a day I never forget."
