Lofton Carries Momentum, Experience To Kentucky
* Last time out... Lofton and crew chief Mark Rette continued to ride their momentum into Chicago last weekend, running top-10 speeds throughout practice, qualifying tenth, and finishing fifth. Lofton ran up front for most of the race, with Rette also utilitizing a two-tire stop late in the running to cushion their position near the front. The call paid off, with Lofton claiming his second consecutive top-five run. The team has collected three top-fives in the last five races, and four top-10s.
* Moving on up... Lofton's fifth place effort moved him two positions in the point standings, from 12th to 10th. It is the first time this season that Lofton has been within the top-10 in the point standings. The No. 7 RHR team sit 13th overall in the owner point standings.
Justin Lofton on racing at Kentucky Speedway "We have a lot of momentum going and I hope to carry that right into Kentucky. We have a string of top-fives on our side and Mark and I ran well last year in both ARCA races at Kentucky. I like the track; it's similar to other intermediate tracks we've raced on already this season. I hope to keep the streak of top-fives rolling this week and build even more on it."
Crew Chief Mark Rette on Kentucky Speedway "I look forward to Kentucky. Justin has been there numerous times before. We led a lot of laps, and finished second and third. We look forward to keeping the momentum going. It's good for him to be in the top-10 in the driver points after last week's race. Now we are going to keep building on the finishes, gain maximum points, and work on gaining even more."
Equipment Information Lofton will race chassis RHR65 this week at Kentucky. It is the same truck that he raced last weekend in Chicagoland, qualifying 10th and finishing fifth.
