BOTH ROUSH TRUCKS HAVE BEEN TO VICTORY LANE HERE IN THE PAST. WHAT CAN YOU DO TO PUT THE NO. 50 BACK IN VICTORY LANE?

"I think we got a good start on it today. We were good in both practice sessions. The truck was fast right off the trailer and we qualified well, right in the top three. With the little shakeup this week, with the two teams switching crew chiefs and engineers and truck chiefs, it's worked out great so far. It's done exactly what Jack was hoping it would do. I really respect Mike Beam and I'm happy to be working with him. It's been a good day so far. We unloaded fast, made it better and qualified well, so I'm excited about tomorrow."

DO YOU FEEL ADDED PRESSURE HERE WITH THE SUCCESS ROUSH HAS HAD IN THE PAST?

"I really don't feel any pressure because they were successful everywhere. We need to get to that level where we're contending for wins every week, and then the wins will just start happening. It'd be great to continue Roush's tradition of winning here, and I guess we're off to a good start. We've got a good truck and we'll just see how it ends up. I've only been working with Mike and Hal (Ralston, engineer) and Steve McCain, my new truck chief, about a day. If we come out the first weekend after a day or two of working together and we can run this well, I'm really excited about what's going to happen next week at Kentucky and then from here on out for the rest of the season."

"It's something that they've done at Roush before. The 97 and the 6 Cup cars a couple of years ago swapped crew chiefs and it worked out really well for them. Jack saw that the truck program was struggling and needed a little changeup to try and make it successful. He's not content with running fifth to 10th to 15th, where we were running. He wants to contend to win races and win races and contend for the championship. I couldn't be happier today for the 50 truck. Our Rotella truck is great. It's been an up-and-down season for us, and for us it was kind of like turning a new page and starting fresh. What a way to start; I'm pretty excited."

"I don't know if this is the truck that Jon Wood drove to victory here or not, but it's definitely my favorite truck. It's the one that we finished fourth with at California and it ran excellent at Atlanta before we had the motor go south on us. We took it to a Texas test, and I wanted to race that truck at Texas, and unfortunately I wrecked it at Texas testing when it was really fast there, too. I'm glad to have it back, and hopefully it will be the truck that I get my first win in."

"When we did our mock run it was pretty solid. I made a mistake and drove the thing in there real hard in our mock run and the thing kind of bottomed out on the race track, and I had to chase it up the track and sacrifice some speed. I just tried to make sure I didn't do that again. The truck has been awesome all day, so I figured I'm just going to sail it off in here and see what happens. If I can come out the first weekend with Mike and the rest of the guys new on the team and we can sit on the pole, what an awesome day that would have been. I'm happy with third, but it would have been cool to be on the pole, so I just went for it."
