J.R. Fitzpatrick to Run Reduced Schedule for Remainder of Camping World Truck Season

Mooresville, North Carolina (April 16, 2009) - J.R. Fitzpatrick will run a reduced schedule for the remaining NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.

The 20-year old Cambridge, Ontario, Canada resident had hoped that the early season momentum the team witnessed at Daytona International Speedway where he ran fourth and led a majority of the race would parlay into added funding early in the season.

"The economy has hindered our program and unless we can get funding to run the whole season, I will be doing a handful of races for the remainder of the year," Fitzpatrick said. "We had an excellent start at Daytona and really opened some eyes in the series. We have a lot of great things in the works and I will be back soon, we are just being more selective of which markets we race in. I am only 20 years old and plan on being in NASCAR for a very long time so as much as I would like to be at the track every week, it has to make sense for everybody involved."

TRG Motorsports team principal, Kevin Buckler, knows that J.R. has the talent to run in the Camping World Series, but also understands the business challenges.

"We have supported J.R. with great equipment and put a solid team behind him, but the economic reality is something that has to be conquered by everyone on the grid," Buckler said. "The team is actively seeking drivers with funding to come in and run some of the best prepared trucks in the series. The No. 7 team has Chevrolet Silverado's that are ready to go, we just need the right driver/sponsor package to get them on the track and run upfront."
