HOMESTEAD, FL – The last race of the 2013 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season was bittersweet for Jason White and his GunBroker.com team.

With a rough month behind them, Jason and his team entered South Florida with high expectations to end the season.

However, White and his team continued to chase the handling of their No. 23 GunBroker.com / Grime Boss Ford as they finished the season with a 17th place finish in the running of the Ford EcoBoost 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

With the Series Championship on the line, White started the 134-lap event from the 22nd position as a result of his qualifying effort earlier in the day.

The early stages of the event would see Jason and his team battle with a tight condition on their No. 23 Ford F-150.

A couple of trips down pit road during the first half of the race helped the handling a little but still not enough for White to march up through the field as he would have liked.

Both driver and team battled all they could the second half of the 201-mile event with their sights set on getting the best finish possible to end the season.

Jason was able to avoid some late race carnage and bring home his No. 23 GunBroker.com / Grime Boss to a hard fought 17th place finish.

“That definitely is not how we wanted to finish out the season,” stated White. “We battled with the handling on our truck all weekend and just couldn’t get it to turn in the corners as we needed it to.

All of the guys on the team worked very hard but we just couldn’t get a handle on our truck. We made some adjustments and I tried different lines around the track that helped a little but we still just didn’t have enough to race the way we would have liked to. ”

The 17th place finish kept White in the 11th position in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series final Drivers’ Standings. Also the No. 23 team finished the season 13th in the overall Owners Points.

“This has been a roller coaster season for sure,” added Jason. “We had some great runs and were very close to our first career win a couple times. We also struggled at times – especially late in the season.

I hate to end the season and go into the off season this way. But I want to thank everyone who supported our efforts this year, my longtime sponsor GunBroker.com, along with new sponsors JW Demolition and Grime Boss.

We will work hard during the winter and look forward to Daytona in February.”
