SETZER WINS POWER STROKE DIESEL 200 AT IRP

INDIANAPOLIS (August 5, 2005) Dennis Setzer was able to withhold a late race charge to win the Power Stroke Diesel 200, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Indianapolis Raceway Park. This was his first win at Indianapolis Raceway Park.

Setzer was the dominate truck for 170-laps of the race and had built up a nine second lead until a caution came out for a spin in turn two. That caution let Kluever catch up and for ten laps both raced side by side but Setzer was able to pull away following another late caution.

"It was fun to race there at the end. I've run pretty good here, should have won a race or two in the past," said Setzer following the win. "It is a tough race to come and win at even if you have a dominate truck and we were very fortunate to put it together tonight."

Kleuver has been running strong in his rookie year and has three top-five finishes For Kluever a strong second place finish couldn't make up for what he thought was going to be his first win in the series.

"I'm pretty upset we didn't win tonight. Anxious to win, anxious to get Roush racing in victory lane this year," said Kluever. "I really wanted to do it nice and clean but after that last caution came out we got too tight and had that caution not come out I might have been still celebrating instead of running second.

The 2005 Kroger SpeedFest concludes on Saturday with the running of the Kroger 200, Benefiting Riley Hospital for Children. Practice and gates open at 10:00 A. M., qualifying starts at 5:00 P. M. and the race starts at 7:45 A. M.
