* This Week's Silverado... The No. 31 Deft Finishings team will bring chassis TMS-011 to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) 2010 season finale at the 1.5-mile Homestead-Miami Speedway. TMS-011 last saw racing action in September at Las Vegas Motor Speedway where Buescher crossed the finish line in the third spot.
* Cracking the Top-10... Buescher sits only 23 points outside the top-10 in the NCWTS driver points going into the season finale race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. This is a pretty spectacular feat for the 20-year-old driver considering he has only competed in 21 of 24 events in 2010.
James Buescher on driving at Homestead-Miami Speedway
"Homestead [Miami Speedway] is a great race track. It is unique because there are three different lines into the corner. At most mile-and-a-half tracks, the bottom is usually the fast route, but at Homestead [Miami Speedway] you can run the middle or top and keep you truck wound up. The variable banking gives the driver an opportunity to search around and find a line that is fast. If our Deft Finishings Chevrolet is not working on the bottom, I can search around and see if the middle or top of the track is faster. We will run side-by-side all night long which is fun for both the drivers and the fans.
"I am really excited that Deft has come on board for Friday night's race. They have been a great partner to Turner Motorsports and will continue their relationship in 2011. We are so fortunate have such great partners who help make this program go.
"We know we are taking a truck that is fast. It ran really well in Las Vegas [Motor Speedway] in September and we feel we have made some gains that will put us in a position to fight for the win this weekend. It has been a great first season for Turner Motorsports. We feel like, as a team, we have proven we are capable of running competitively each and every week. We will take the off-season to gear up to make a run at the 2011 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship."
