BOBBY HAMILTON (No. 4 Square D Dodge Ram) - POLE WINNER

"We've gone to several race tracks the last few years, cookie cut race tracks and they've been the biggest pile of crap as far as I'm concerned. Beautiful tracks, but you couldn't race on them. We've got a three-groove track here the minute you get on it. When you can unload like that and have a very forgiving race track and a multi-groove race track, it's pretty cool for the competitors. It should be a great race for the fans.

"I have a chance to move up a spot or so. In this business there's racing gods. The minute you don't respect one of them it'll come back to haunt you. I'm going to show them guys respect. I'm going to try to win the race, but this is not a one-sided deal. They're the guys racing for the championship. I'm going to try to win the race and they need the championship. The big picture is more valuable than the small picture, but I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize it.

"I'm really surprised it held up for the pole. We've been the quickest truck since we've been here, and then when we slowed down in qualifying I wondered what I did wrong. For me to qualify on the pole at a high-speed racetrack is a pretty big deal in itself. The 18 went out on stickers and almost beat me. He had a shot at winning the pole award for the year, so it cost me about $10,000 because he didn't win the pole, but I'll take the medal home and gander at it."
