MILWAUKEE, Wis.- Randy Tolsma and the No. 25 CITGO-SUPERGARD Motor Oil Dodge team will take on the Milwaukee Mile this weekend for the SEARS DIEHARD 200, and the competition will need to take heed. When a driver as hungry for a win as Tolsma sees an opportunity to take the lead, if given an inch- he'll take The Milwaukee Mile.

"Our performance at Milwaukee last year was good," recalled Tolsma. "Just knowing what we're capable of, I'm really excited about the possibilities. Our performance has been so consistent this year and we definitely have potential to win this weekend. The CITGO-SUPERGARD Motor Oil Dodge has been good on flat tracks like this, so it should be pretty fun."

Last year's race at The Milwaukee Mile featured Tolsma starting on the outside pole, leading the field, and eventually finishing 8th.

Just five events ago, Tolsma was 12th in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series point standings. Since then, he has notched four consecutive top-10 finishes and has soared to seventh in points. He has led 200 laps this year. Tolsma and Co. feel they still have a legitimate shot at the championship.

"The points chase in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is always a close one. We're certainly not out of contention for the championship," said crew chief Gary Showalter. "We're not giving up just yet."

Showalter and the rest of the No. 25 team hope to make some fireworks of their own in the points battle this July 4th weekend.

"Perseverance pays off," said Tolsma. "This is a team effort, and we're all in it together -good or bad. We have some pretty strong momentum going right now, we just really need a win. It would be a huge pat on the back for this team."

Bud pole qualifying for the race will take place on Friday June 30, 2000 at 3:30 p.m. EST. The green flag will drop for the SEARS DIEHARD 200 at 2:30 p.m. EST on Saturday July 1, 2000. The live broadcast courtesy of CBS and MRN Radio begins at 2:30 p.m. EST. <pre> Randy Tolsma 2000 Statistics
