Gainers and losers from Texas
Christopher DeHarde names some of the winners and losers from the Truck race at Texas. I wonder which category Matt Crafton will be in?

After the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway, there were several winners and losers in the field. Let’s take a look at the big gainers and losers after the WinStar World Casino 400.
Gainers:
Matt Crafton
He now has possession of the points lead after scoring his fourth top five finish of the season and of course, his second win. Matt enjoyed a big rebound after finishing 23rd at Dover and he’ll be looking to carry this momentum forward.
Joe Nemecheck
He scored a third place finish driving for his own team, expanding their notebook for the 1.5 mile tracks. He’ll have some good setup information for his son when he moves up to 1.5 mile tracks after he turns 18. Nemecheck was very upbeat about his team’s performance saying, “Look at where our team is, I think we have seven or eight guys total on our whole team. We’re building everything, and that’s a lot of work to do at the shop. We’ve built seven trucks so far this year and [we’re] just trying to get our performance better.”
Ryan Blaney
Coming off of a second place finish at Dover, Blaney kept his momentum up as he finished fourth, bringing him from seventh to fourth in the points, only 25 behind Crafton. He’ll be looking to jump Ron Hornaday next week at Gateway since Hornaday’s only two points ahead of him.
Losers:
Timothy Peters
The points leader heading into this race, Peters had a flat right rear tire early before slamming the wall later on. He finished 24th, conceding the points lead. He fell all the way down to fifth in standings
German Quiroga
The only Mexican driver in the truck field, Quiroga was looking for another top 10 finish as he was the only driver to finish every race in the top 10 this year. Quiroga lost an engine at the same time Peters went out, finishing 23rd and costing him valuable points. That brings us to…
Red Horse Racing
Peters and Quiroga gave Red Horse their worst race of the year, especially when they needed a good run to separate themselves from ThorSport racing. They are now in a fairly sizeable hole.
