Stan Boyd keeps foot on the floor to take 16th at Texas.

Fort Worth, TX: Stan Boyd, driver of the #89 Bars Leak's/Splatt Chevrolet, found that things truly are big in Texas with a huge run in the O'Reilly Auto Parts 400 Friday night. Boyd started from the 24th position and immediately started working his way towards the top-15 and eventually finished 16th, a season-best for the Holly, MI driver.

"This is the best truck I have ever had in race trim," Boyd said. "I could keep it flat to the floor just about all night. We got a little tight when the fuel load lightened up late in the race, and I had to breathe the throttle the last 20 laps. But the truck was great. We could run with anyone through the corners, but we were just a little short under the hood tonight."

Boyd continued, joking, "I guess I need to get on the engine builder a little bit, we need a little more smoke under the hood." Not only is Boyd the driver, he is also the crew chief and engine builder, among other duties.

"We didn't challenge for the win tonight, but I hope they knew we were here," he said. "I am just working hard to gain the respect of everyone out there. I hope we earned some tonight."
