Engine woes leave Crafton 23rd at Texas.

ROANOKE, Texas - Engine failure was the theme of the day for Matt Crafton and the Menards/ColorPave Chevrolet Friday, September 13 in the Silverado 350 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race. After finding that the primary engine needed to be replaced before the race, Crafton was relegated to 23rd position in the final order when the back up engine failed.

Crafton charged from the back of the 35-truck field to 15th place before the engine soured on lap 84. After a lengthy pit stop for repairs, Crafton returned to the race for 19 more laps and moved from 25th to 23rd at the finish.

The performance moved Crafton to 15th in the series point standings.

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series continues with a race in South Boston, Va. Saturday, September 21.
