WHAT HAPPENED? "The motor fell apart. I'm not sure exactly what happened. Ernie Elliott has given us great motors all year long. We sure can't complain, but now we're down six races for the championship and we sure didn't need to drop out of these races. I wasn't going to worry at all. We had a great truck for the first set of tires; I think we had the fastest truck out there. The second set, we were about as even as everybody; we didn't have an edge on them. We got that last set of tires on there and I was a little bit loose, but I thought we still had the truck for them, and the motor let go."

RICK CRAWFORD-14-Circle Bar Motel & RV Park Ford F-150 (Finished 4th)

"You know, they asked me at the beginning of the race and said that it was going to take patience and all of this kind of stuff and they gave me aggression, too. All my life, I've raced, I'm not going to say without patience, but I've taken calculated risks because my last name might not be the same as some of those others making it in Winston Cup, so I might risk a few times, but I try to make it a calculated risk, and that's what it's going to take to win this championship, and that's what we tried to do tonight. We pitted early. We had a bad tire on the right front. We came in under green and the pit guys put me out, and when everybody cycled through their pits, they put me back out front. And then we came in again, with a right-front problem again, but it had a hole in it. We were losing air pressure in the right front, but Goodyear had a great tire this weekend. It didn't hurt the truck at all to have those tires problems, and when we came back out we cycled back up front and got our lap back and was able to finish fourth. It was a great run for the Circle Bar Motel & RV Park Ford. It was a heck of a chassis. We made wholesale changes this morning, so it was a great day for the Circle Bar Motel & RV Park Ford, and hopefully we'll be up there in the points before it's over."

YOU WERE ABLE TO MAKE UP A LAP THAT YOU LOST UNDER GREEN. "Early in the race, we had to pit. I felt rubber and rocks and everything else hitting under the fender and knew I had a tire coming apart, so we pitted without hurting the pickup. When everybody cycled through pit stops, the guys did so great, when we cycled out, we were leading the race. The next time we had to pit early because we were losing air pressure in the right-front tire. It didn't hurt the truck then either. We had a great truck, but we were a lap behind. We started out on the head of the lead lap and I wasn't going to let Musgrave get back around me and I pulled around him and we caught a caution and got a lap back. I'm hungry for the championship. We ain't quitting until it's over. My hat's off. We prepared the Star & Stripes tonight for our American servicemen and woman. They're doing a great job fighting for our freedom and we appreciate it."

YOU'VE NEVER BEEN IN THIS POSITION THIS LATE IN THE SEASON. "No, I haven't been in it before, but neither has the Circle Bar Motel & RV Park Ford. I'm going to do all I can do to win the championship because we might not get this opportunity again, so we're going to make the best of it this year, so they better look out."

JON WOOD-50-U.S. Navy Racing Ford F-150 (Finished 12th)

"We had to start in the back and anytime you have to do that, that's a big disadvantage. The track went green for a long time, therefore we had no chance to bunch everything up and get back up in the middle of the pack, so that hurt us."

WITH NO PRACTICE TIME IN THE BACKUP TRUCK, HOW WAS IT ON THE LONG RUNS? "It was good. Nobody was pushing me all that much. Like I said, we had a little bit of trouble starting so far back, but other than that, it wasn't any big deal." DID YOU EXPECT THE RACE TO STAY GREEN AS LONG AS IT DID? "No way. I figured there would be a bunch of wrecks early and then go green the rest of the way, but it was just the opposite."
