Nashville, TN (August 10, 2000) - Ford F-150's had a struggle on their hands in qualifying at the last NASCAR Craftsman Truck race to be held here at the Nashville Speedway USA. Mike Wallace was the fastest Ford qualifying fourth. Rob Morgan, in the #46 Acxiom/ AbiliTec Ford F-150 stepped up to qualify sixth for his fourth top-ten qualifying effort of the season. Points leader Greg Biffle was an uncharacteristic twenty-third, with "Killer B" teammate Kurt Busch starting twelfth.

GREG BIFFLE
#50 Grainger Ford F-150- (Qualified 23rd)-"We have been really struggling since we unloaded. I think that the truck will race well, but obviously as far as qualifying goes we had a rough time. The truck has just not been there all day. We are really going to have to take advantage of happy hour tonight."

MIKE WALLACE
#02 Team ASE/Ultra Wheels Ford F-150-(Qualified 4th)-"We're pretty happy to be starting fourth. It's nice to start up front at these little racetracks because sometimes stuff can happen and it's becomes kind of a jam up deal. The quickest we ran in practice was a 19.62, so to come back in qualifying and run a 19.39 is great. We're really happy with it."

ROB MORGAN
#46 Acxiom/AbiliTec Ford F-150-(Qualified 6th)-"It's a lot better than last week that's for sure. We were actually pretty good in both practice sessions; I think we were around fifteenth or so in both sessions. We knew we had a good truck for qualifying, but we hoped that our late draw and the weather would help to tighten it up just a little bit more than it did. Other than that the truck was a little bit freer than I would have liked, but we can work on that in happy hour."

KURT BUSCH
#99 Exide Batteries Ford F-150-(Qualified 12th)-"It was a little bit better. We have been struggling a little bit today with the tires wearing out and everything. We threw everything including the kitchen sink at it for qualifying and it went quicker than we have all day. I think that we are going in the right direction but there is still a lot of work to do."

RICK CRAWFORD
#14 Milwaukee Electric Tools Ford F-150-(Qualified 34th)- "I was really disappointed in our qualifying effort. We are really having a tough time here this weekend and it just didn't get any better. This is the first time in four years that we've had to use a provisional and we're going to do everything in our power to make it the last. This Milwaukee Electric Tools Ford F-150 is a better piece than that and we are a better team than we showed today. We've definitely got some work to do in happy hour tonight to make it better."

RON BARFIELD
#8 Stallion Express/Gear Tech + Ford F-150- (Qualified 28th)---"It really wasn't too bad. I ran and 19.80 in the last practice and a 19.90 in the first one. Then we ran a 19.77 in qualifying, so it just keeps getting quicker which is good. I'm not as good here as I have been in the past, but I'm not bad. I am having some handling trouble going straight down the straightaway, but I'm pretty good through the corners. I think everything will be all right. If we can just get the race started I think we'll be good."

BOBBY GILL
#15 Progressive Glass Technology Ford F-150-(Qualified 32nd)-"The truck has more in it than that. We'll make some adjustments in happy hour and I'm sure that we'll be faster than that. This is a good truck and we will be ready to race it tomorrow come the drop of the flag."
