MICHAEL DOKKEN-31-Brevak Racing Ford F-150 (Finished 32nd) -

WHAT HAPPENED?

"I came off of (Turn) 2, we've got a little leak in our rear end, we had a bunch of oil on the tires, I got loose and tried to save it and then it snapped to the right when I got off the corner. We wanted to have a good run to find us a major sponsor so that we can keep running these races, but we'll have to come back and do a little better."

DOES THIS CHANGE YOUR PLANS FOR DARLINGTON NEXT WEEK?

"Yeah, this would have been our race truck, but it's in no shape to go racing now. We'll have to regroup and see where that puts us in a few weeks."

TERRY COOK-29-K Automotive Ford F-150 (Finished 3rd) -

YOU WERE THE FIRST OF THE NON-DODGE FINISHERS. TALK ABOUT YOUR RACE.

"I guess you would call it first in class. We had a great truck. The K Automotive Ford was fast since we rolled off the truck. We had a slight miscue on fuel calculations and on that long green-flag run, we ran out of fuel coming out of Turn 2. We had a for sure second-place truck; we were running Scott (Riggs) down at a high rate of speed there at the end but we were just too far back in track position. Running out of fuel really hurt, but I don't think we had anything for the 1 truck. There were pretty stout, but we're just here every week. We're plugging along and we know that were going to get a victory soon."

NATHAN HASELEU-99-Roush Performance Ford F-150 (Finished 27th) -

"That's the best we had a truck all year long. It was going forward from where we started and the guys had great pit stops. I missed a shift coming off of Turn 2 and the motor slowly started going away. And then we ran out of gas, and that was the end of our day. On the bright side that was the best truck that we've had, we were moving forward and we were running in the top 10. The finish doesn't show a good day, but it was going to be a promising day. The Roush Performance guys need to keep working hard and we need to go to Darlington and build on the positive things."

DID YOU RUN OUT OF FUEL BECAUSE OF A MISCALCULATION OR DID YOU NOT GET A FULL TANK ON THE LAST PIT STOP?

"The motor starting going away on me because I missed a shift. The fuel mileage went away on it, but it was no one's fault."

DID THE RAIN DELAY HURT YOU?

"I don't think so. I was ready to race when it was time to go. I didn't expect it to be under the lights, but it's a nice race track. I just had a disappointing day."

CHUCK HOSSFELD-50-Eldon Ford F-150 (Finished 19th) -

"We finished the race, but this isn't the way we wanted to perform in our first race with our new sponsor. Eldon is excited about the program, but we just had a bad truck and I don't know where we missed. We tried to adjust it a lot but we couldn't get anything done with it. We missed it somewhere." WHAT WERE YOU FIGHTING? "I couldn't get out of the corner from the center out; it was just really loose. But we'll work at it, and hopefully at Darlington we'll have a better result. The weekend looked great, but we just struggled today."

THIS TRACK IS KNOWN TO BE TOUGH ON ROOKIES. IS IT TOUGH TO COME TO A NEW TRACK AND NOT HAVE TIME TO TEST?

"Maybe it is, maybe that has a lot to do with it. I drove as I could, hard as I knew how. Being a rookie is definitely not an advantage, I know that much." DID THE RAIN DELAY TAKE HURT YOU? "No, I don't think that had a lot to do with it. I think we just needed a different shock package or we needed something different. We tried adjusting the track bar and we tried adjusting air pressure and we added a spring rubber. The best it was came at the end of the day, which is promising, but we needed more than that."

RICK CRAWFORD-14-Milwaukee Electric Tools Ford F-150 (Finished 4th) -

YOU EARNED YOUR FIRST TOP-FIVE OF THE SEASON.

"It was a great race for the Milwaukee Electric Tools race team. It was our first top five of the year, but what can I say, this is a tough team. We were helped by the rule change a little bit; it made the talented drivers move up into the top five, so with a little bit more help with our truck and we'll be up front." HOW BAD WAS THE RAIN DELAY? "Well, you just sort of watch it. It helped because it was cooler and it made the motors run cooler. It's just better on equipment, no big deal. We can race at 100 degrees or we can race at 30 below."

DID YOU THINK THAT WE WERE GOING TO GET ALL 160 COMPLETED?

"We came here to race. We'll change our strategy if the weather changes, but you have to prepare yourself to run 160 (laps)."

WAS LAPPED TRAFFIC A PROBLEM?

"I had a couple of problems, but that's normal. A man has to know his limitations."

TALK ABOUT YOUR RACE.

"The K Automotive Ford F-150 was awesome tonight. The new rule changes helped a little bit, but I don't think it was the answer; I don't think it solved all of our problems. We could pretty much run anybody down, but once we got to them, we had a hard time passing. I think we had a great truck. We probably could have run second, I not taking anything away from Scott (Riggs), but we ran out of fuel. We miscalculated on fuel mileage, we ran out of fuel coming out of Turn 2 and coasted slowly down the backstretch and all the way to the pits. We had the motor off and I had a hard time getting the motor fired back up once we got to the pits. That hurt us and that was a slight miscue, but we definitely had a good enough truck that we could battle back into the top three."

DID YOU HAVE ANYTHING FOR THE FIRST TWO GUYS?

"Like I said before, I think I could have handled Scott if I got to him, but we lost track position when we ran out of fuel and that hurt us. I don't think I had anything for the 1. The 1 truck was pretty stout today, he was definitely the class of the field." WHY WAS THAT? "I just drive them. I don't have the answers. The Dodge program right now, they're on top of their game, they've done their homework the past couple of years and it's showing. They have a new motor, they've got a great aero package and they've got some of the best drivers in the business. They've got good teams and they've risen to the top and they're showing it every week putting victories together."

NASCAR GAVE YOU SOME DOWNFORCE WITH A RULES CHANGE.

"They gave us rear downforce. I don't think it gave us a lot. I answered the question earlier, 'Did it make a big difference?' Well, when it was all said and done you had one Ford in the top 10. So did it really make that big of a difference? I don't think so, but it may have made a little bit. I'm not going to sit here and tell you it didn't, but the Fords need better balance. We need some front downforce to match the rear downforce. Like I said, I could run anybody down at will but when I got to them, I had to wear them out trying to pass them because we didn't have anything on the front end pushing down to turn it."
