Shige On California Speedway:
"I've raced four times at California Speedway in the IRL and the Indy Lights. I am very familiar with track and my experience will be a big help. I know the track this time which is good but it is totally different then an open wheel car. This week I know the track and will be better then last week. I know the groves and movement on California Speedway. Daytona was completely different in every way. The race track was totally new and different to me and the Germain/Arnold race truck was totally different."
"I need to adjust my driving style from open wheel to the trucks. Last week at Daytona helped a lot but I am still working on it. I plan on having a better finish this week. Tom and all the mechanics have put together a great truck for California and we look forward to going."
Shige Discusses Racing Near His Hometown:
"I am especially excited because my wife and one of my daughters will be there. I have lived in California around Los Angles for the past ten years. I have a lot of family and friends that will be coming. My sponsor AISIN has offices in Los Angles and I want to bring home a good finish for them in the No. 9 AISIN/AISIN AW Toyota Tundra."
"I have been looking at moving to North Carolina because I am so anxious to spend time with my crew and my mechanics. They have taught me a lot and I appreciate everything they do. But for now this is my hometown and I will have a lot of sponsors and visitors at California Speedway for the Craftsman Truck race."
