Flight issues delay NASCAR officials, forces schedule changes
A plane carrying NASCAR Truck Series officials and others to Texas Motor Speedway on Thursday morning was forced to land shortly after takeoff at Concord Regional Airport due to mechanical issues, NASCAR officials confirmed to Motorsport.com.
The resulting delay of officials at Texas prevented the Truck garage from opening at the scheduled time and teams will miss some of the allotted practice time for the weekend.
NASCAR officials are in the process of completing a revamped schedule for Thursday's track activity, which is part of a doubleheader weekend with the IndyCar Series.
Teams lost one practice session and would have two more today.
