Eric Norris To Drive In The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series "Ford 200" At Homestead Miami Speedway

2002 NASCAR Grand National West Series Champion Eric Norris will head to South Florida to compete in the Craftsman Truck Series "Ford 200" Friday, November 19, 2004 at Homestead Miami Speedway.

Norris will drive the No. 7 "Pavestone" Dodge, prepared by Ultra Motorsports. Norris recently competed in the Craftsman Truck Series last month at Texas Motor Speedway, where he qualified 13th.

"Ultra Motorsports is a top notch operation, so I have a really good team behind me," says Norris. "They have a tremendous record of success at this track and I'm looking forward to adding to it."

It will be Norris' first start at the 1.5-mile track "I've talked to several drivers who raced there last year and they all raved about the banking," says Norris. "I noticed that qualifying speeds picked up over 20 Mph from the year before, so it's fast enough for me."

Norris' day ended early at Texas because of a broken clutch. "We were fast in practice and were only a couple of tenths off the pole," says Norris. "I was a little disappointed that I didn't get more laps in because I knew we were going to run up front."

Dallas based Pavestone Company is sponsoring the Norris and the #7 team at Homestead. "I can't thank the people at Pavestone enough for all of their support," says Norris. "I'm going to make sure that we bring them a great finish at Homestead."

Norris who works as a professional Stuntman, Motion Picture and Television director has started downsizing his role in the Hollywood entertainment business to focus on his racing career. Norris spent time this year testing and looking for a ride in 2005. "Driving in a NASCAR series is all I really want to do". Norris says.
