DENNIS SETZER, NO. 8 MALCOLMSON CONSTRUCTION SILVERADO, FINISHED 2ND:
TALK ABOUT YOUR RUN TODAY:
"It is our season-best finish. I have been fortunate enough to get with Dave Malcolmson and the No. 8 truck. Didn't really have a full-time job, been catching rides in different things early in the year. Have been with Dave now for a few races and this is our best. Run. I really appreciate the opportunity. Randy Dean, our crew chief, we were a little off in practice and he made a last ditch effort, right at the end of practice and put a new setup under it. It wasn't quite where we needed to be qualifying. Wasn't quite where we need to be the first part of the race, but he kept adjusting, kept making changes on the truck and it just kept getting better. It seemed like the older tires. We stayed out that last time on tires and it paid dividends for us."
DID YOU HAVE ANY TIRE ISSUES?
"We didn't have any issues. We had to play our truck pretty safe because we went with a different chassis setup for the race from what we practiced on, we changed our last deal there, so he was pretty conservative with camber on the right front. Never had any issues, I think I had 67 laps on the last set, I think I changed at 133 or a lap or two before that and didn't stop that last time. Had no issues at all. He said they were good. I asked him that last caution come out with 16 to go, we were discussing whether to stay out or not. I said I can't see the tires, you tell me if we are ok and I'll make the decision to stay out and that is what we did, we stayed out."
