* Strong at Dover...The AAA Insurance 200 will mark Johnny Benson's fifth Camping World Truck Series start at Dover International Speedway. Benson has earned three top-10 starts and three top-10 finishes at Dover. Benson already knows his way to Victory Lane at the "Monster Mile;" he earned his first NASCAR Nationwide Series win there in 1994.
* Championship still in sight....Benson and his Red Horse Racing team suffered a minor set-back in their run for back-to- back championships during the last event at Lowe's Motor Speedway. After clawing their way to the fifth spot in points, the #1 Toyota Tundra suffered damage after trying to avoid an accident early in the race. The damage resulted in a 23rd place finish and a loss of two positions in the NASCAR Camping World Series driver point standings. Benson will start the AAA Insurance 200 in the seventh position in the point standings; 187 points behind the leader. The team is dedicated to getting those spots back with a solid performance at Dover International Speedway.
* Benson Sizzles in Summer...Johnny Benson is one of the most consistent drivers in the garage area but he has yet to win a race in the series before the summer heat sizzles. In 2006, his first win came at Michigan in race 10 of the season on June 17th. In 2007 and 2008, it was Milwaukee before Benson took the checkered flag in race 11 on June 22nd and June 20th respectively. He's hoping this year he can reach Victory Lane before June but he has only one chance left to make it happen-this weekend at Dover International Speedway.
Johnny Benson on racing at Dover International Speedway: "I really like racing at Dover because I have always run good there and I really enjoy the side-by-side racing. It's a multi-groove, racey racetrack. I won my first Nationwide Series race at Dover but haven't been able to win in the truck series yet. Hopefully we can change that this Friday night."
Crew Chief Trip Bruce on Dover International Speedway: "I like Dover a lot. I would really love to win there. I like that the track is symmetrical, high-banked, concrete and very different from any where else we race. It gives us a nice change of pace after all the mile and a half tracks we go to in the early part of the season. The track is hard on tire wear but it's really fast and puts on a good show for the fans."
Equipment Information The #1 Red Horse Racing team will compete with chassis # 103 in the AAA Insurance 200 at Dover International Speedway. This is a brand new truck that has never been raced before. It has only served as Benson's back-up truck so far this season.
