"I was just racing too hard at the beginning of the race. The 15 truck and I went into the corner and we were both searching for the bottom and it didn't work. The guys on the crew put together two great trucks and I destroyed both of them this weekend. It's not going to be pretty back at the shop. They work too hard for me to be racing that hard early. We're going to win these races; there's no doubt in my mind. We just shouldn't have been racing that hard at the beginning of the race."

YOU HAVE HAD STRONG RUNS HERE THE PAST TWO YEARS, BUT FAILED TO WIN. DO YOU FEEL THIS TRACK OWES YOU ONE NOW?
"You can't look at it like that. The Circle Bar Ford ran good. We should have sat on the pole if we qualified. We took the lead with ease and led the most laps. You can't come into the pits in first and then go out fifth or sixth. You get the lead again, you come back in first again and go back out sixth. That's not championship caliber there. We know what we need to work on between now and Texas"
YOU HAVE SOME FRONT-END DAMAGE TO YOUR TRUCK. WHEN DID THAT OCCUR ND DID IT AFFECT YOUR TRUCK'S HANDLING? "That was damage from this morning from pushing it up and down this hill at Dover. Undoubtedly it got patched and didn't get fixed."
JON WOOD-50-Roush Racing Ford F-150 (Finished 4th)
THIS IS YOUR SECOND TOP-FIVE FINISH THIS YEAR.
"We had a great truck like I've been saying all day. We had an excellent performance. We had great pit stops and times in the pits. I kept thinking about last year when I came off of (turn) 4 on lap 5 and demolished my truck. Every lap I was like, 'I can't do that.' We lucked out and finished in the top five. We really didn't luck out; we had a great truck. That's what we need to do every week."
HOW CHALLENGING IS THIS TRACK FOR A YOUNG DRIVER? "It's pretty challenging. I consider this my first time. Like I said, last year we crashed. We've got great stuff and I'm looking forward to Texas. Fourth is alright but it's not where we need to be. We had a great truck. It's outstanding to come here and finish in the top five like we did against these former Cup drivers. It's just like the Busch series. There are a lot of competitive trucks each week and it feels really good to run in the top five. We had great pit stops and we just have to keep it going."
YOU LOST A SPOT TO BOBBY HAMILTON IN THE CLOSING LAPS. HOW WAS YOUR TRUCK AT THE END OF THE RACE? "We were very conservative with the adjustments we made in the pits. I felt like the changes that we made were the right changes. Maybe Ted Musgrave and Bobby Hamilton made better ones, but we still ended up where we ended to be - the top five. We need to do that every week."
YOU HAD YOUR CREW CHIEF JOHN MONSAM BACK THIS WEEK. DO YOU THINK HIS ABSENCE FROM THE TRACK HAD AN IMPACT ON YOUR PERFORMANCE? "I thought that when the decision was made that we'd be all right and that my mom could crew chief this thing. Now I'm beginning to wonder. The two top-fives that we've had all year were back to back races with John (Monsam)."
TERRY COOK-29-Power Stroke Diesel/Oil Mate Ford F-150 (Finished 20th)
"We just couldn't do anything right. We cut a tire down early. We had a really fast truck early on and things started getting tight. We were just riding there in second or third spot most of the race and cut a tire down. We got two laps down and figured we could try to make some of that up. We started to make some progress and ran over something and knocked a hole in the radiator."
DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU RAN OVER? "I'm not sure what it was. I think when the 88 wrecked we may have run over some debris, maybe a brake rotor went through the radiator. But whatever it was, it went all the way through it and we couldn't repair the radiator. We should have changed it in hindsight, but nonetheless we were trying to keep going and we cooked the motor."
TALK ABOUT HOW THIS WILL AFFECT YOU IN THE POINTS RACE? "The thing with the points race is that you try to maximize your day each and every race no matter if it's a top five or a top 10. In our case it will be a top 20. When you're running top 20s, that's not going to get it down. You've got to run top 10s."
