Woolrich to sponsor Erik Darnell's No. 99 NASCAR Craftsman Truck

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA.- Roush Racing announced today that Woolrich, The Original Outdoor Clothing Company has signed on to sponsor the No. 99 of Erik Darnell in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race on February 17 at Daytona International Speedway.

Darnell, the winner of Roush Racing: Driver X, will make his first start for the team on Friday night. After being chosen from a field of 1,776 applicants, Darnell went on to win the competition and was placed in the No. 99 truck for 2006.

"Having Woolrich sign on with us is great," said Darnell. "Being from up north, I've actually got a Woolrich jacket in my closet. They make great products, and I'm glad to be representing them. I'm looking forward to getting our first start with Roush Racing together here at Daytona."

Jerry Rinder, Woolrich V.P. of Sales is also excited about the partnership. "Erik Darnell did a terrific job in Driver X, and we're sure that he'll do a great job in Daytona this week."

"It's a powerful alliance." states Tim Joseph, Woolrich's Director of Marketing and Media. "The abilities of Erik Darnell as he joins the well-known Roush Racing team, coupled with the 175 year heritage and history of Woolrich should make for a winning combination."

Darnell will be joined in the field by teammate Mark Martin in the No. 6 Scotts Ford F-150. The Roush Fords were among the fastest teams in pre-season testing at Daytona, showing at the top of the charts in each session.

"I've been down here for a few days now, and I've been really excited about getting on the track and kicking off our 2006 season. I cannot think of a better way to kick off the season than by giving that No. 99 Woolrich Ford F-150 a good run on Friday night," said Darnell.
