DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Thirty-six trucks will start the Florida Dodge Dealers 250, NASCAR Craftsman Truck race this Friday at 1:00 p.m. Matt Crafton, driver of the No. 88 SealMaster Racing Chevrolet will be starting his 2nd truck race at Daytona in 24th position, with high hopes of a top-10 finish.

"I feel good about the race tomorrow," stated Matt Crafton, 2000 Champion of the NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Series. "Drafting is key to winning the race, so the person who qualifies 1st doesn't always win."

Last season, Crafton's rookie year started out rough. In the Daytona race last February, Crafton used a provisional to start the race in 43rd and made his way to 6th position. Unfortunately, the race would end to short as the motor blew and Crafton was sidelined after only 50 laps.

This season, Crafton and the Ohio-based team felt strong after finishing #1 in the mandatory NASCAR test just one month ago. Everything changes when the teams pull into Daytona for Speedweeks. Top speed at testing in January was 47.983 seconds (187.566 miles per hour).

Top speed this week was 46.433 (193.828 mph) by a Dodge. Crafton's top speed
of the week was 46.959 (191.657 mph). Qualifying time was 48.073 (187.215
mph) also by a Dodge. Crafton qualified at 49.227 (182.286 mph)

The 100-lap race at the 2.5-mile SuperSpeedway will be televised live on ESPN and broadcast live on MRN radio. For up to the minute results, check out www.truckseries.com or www.nascar.com.
