"It's a little bit different. We practiced mostly race practice. We didn't make a qualifying attempt on sticker tires, so we're really happy with that lap. By ourselves, our truck drove really well. I feel like the only place you can make up time here in the trucks, since you're wide open through one and two, the only place you can make up time is in three and four. The truck just felt so good the first lap, the second lap I just got into the throttle really early and it stuck and everything went well. I'll tell you what, that's about the most nervous thing in the world is to watch Shane Hmiel run that second lap after he laid down such a good first one. I think if he hadn't bottomed out a little there in three and four he would have knocked me off the pole. I was pretty excited to end up on the pole; I feel very fortunate."

"To be honest with you, I don't have enough experience here to really tell you how that will affect the handling of the trucks. We're just kind of winging it here. I really like this race track; it's a lot of fun. We ran really well here last year, and I would have to say this is the one I've been most looking forward to racing on. To start off with the pole is awesome. We want really want to win this championship for Superchips, and it's going to take leading the most laps and winning these last two races to even think about that, so that's our mission right now."

"Just because this to me is the perfect race track. The tires fall off a whole bunch, so it puts a lot into the driver's hands later in a run. The shape of the track is so unique and so much fun to run. Every lap around here, even when you're running by yourself is a blast because you run right up by the fence and you've got to come off of turn two just right. Plus, when you watch those old races on TV, this is the coolest place in the world to watch those races because they're slide-jobbing each other all of the place and it's just a fun race track."

"I think Rick Crawford put it best. He said if there's any trouble with the lights, the worst thing that happen is the lights could go out, but most of the time you've got your eyes shut around here anyway, so it's not that bad. I think the lights are perfect. They look great and I think it's going to be an awesome race. To be honest with you, I didn't notice any difference from daytime to night as far as visually."

"I think this is going to be one of those tracks, unless Bobby has some trouble, it's going to be really hard to pick up points on him at this race track. Like I said, all we're really shooting for, I think we have a great package for this race track, and I feel like we have a great one for Homestead. We just have to run perfectly and hope that they don't run as well as they should. That's our only chance right now; it sure would be neat. I just don't want to leave these last two races and leave anything on the table and we're going to do our best."

"I just play on the video games and stuff like that and try to get a little experience like that. I feel like this track is one of those ones that the computer games and stuff can help. I watch tapes and stuff."
