MILLER SET TO MAKE NCTS DEBUT IN No. 4 DODGE MOTORSPORTS DODGE AT NEW HAMPSHIRE
ARCA COMPETITOR TO REPLACE PETERS IN LOUDON
MT. JULIET, TN (September 11, 2006) - Bobby Hamilton Racing and Dodge Motorsports are testing the waters with the NASCAR youth movement. Chase Miller, a promising 19 year-old from Canton, GA., will make his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut in the No. 4 Dodge Motorsports Dodge at the New Hampshire 200 at New Hampshire International Speedway on Saturday, September 16th. Miller surprised the stock car world with a win in the Automobile Racing Club of America ReMax Series at Pocono in only his second 2006 ARCA start. Miller will replace Timothy Peters as the pilot of the No. 4 Dodge Motorsports Dodge for the New Hampshire event and the following weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
"BHR has been tagged as the place to groom up and coming talents for possible futures in racing," said Bobby Hamilton Sr. "We brought Timothy Peters in as a rookie and with some seat time under his belt, he has proven to be a hot commodity. Timothy and I have become friends and I want to thank him for his efforts the past two seasons. I am impressed with his ability behind the wheel and am sure that he will be successful in his racing career. But after much thought we have both decided to peruse other options for the 2007 season. Our main focus at BHR is to get Dodge back into victory lane, so we are going to spend the rest of the 2006 season trying to test the waters in order to reach that target for next year. I wish Timothy the best in the future and at the same time we are looking forward to working with an up and coming young driver like Chase Miller."
In addition to his win at Pocono, Miller has also earned a pole position at St. Louis and has two top-five finishes in just four starts this season. Miller is also a veteran of USAR Pro Cup Series, Southern All Star Late Models, Allison Legacy Series, Legends Cars and WKA go-karts. He was the 2003 Southern All Star Rookie of the Year, Hard Charger of the Year and completed the most laps (1,261 of 1,262) in the series recording multiple wins.
Bobby Hamilton Racing (BHR) is owned by 2004 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Champion Bobby Hamilton and operates out of a 50,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art racing facility based in Mt. Juliet, TN. BHR currently fields the No. 18 Fastenal Dodge driven by Bobby Hamilton Jr. and the No. 4 Dodge Motorsports Dodge. BHR has collected 19 NCTS wins and one NCTS Championship since it was founded in 1996. For more information log onto www.bobbyhamiltonracing.com
