Concord, North Carolina (May 22, 2005)-Shige Hattori in the No. 9 AISIN / AISIN AW Toyota Tundra proved his might behind the wheel of a NASCAR Craftsman Truck by posting a qualifying time of 29.85 seconds, positioning Hattori in the 8th place starting position for the running of the Quaker Steak & Lube 200 at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Unfortunately, Hattori's night didn't end the way the Germain/Arnold NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team had planned. Hattori completed only 27 laps when his race truck broke free sending him into the wall in turn 2.

"I have no idea what happened," Shige Hattori stated. "The left side of the truck just stopped and the rear end slid out from underneath me- I am just so disappointed for the No. 9 AISIN / AISIN AW Germain/Arnold Racing team. I'm so disappointed that I couldn't finish the race but we'll go get 'em next time."

Hattori plans on testing with his Germain/Arnold Racing teammate, Chad Chaffin at the Milwaukee Mile Thursday and Friday -- May 26th and 27th.

"We're testing the Tundra in Milwaukee this week," Hattori said. "I've raced on the Milwaukee Mile before in CART and in the Indy Lights. This test will help me stay behind the wheel during our off weekend in the Craftsman Truck Series. The seat time is very valuable for me."

The NASCAR Craftsman Trucks Series is off this weekend but are back in action for the MBNA 200 at Dover International Speedway Friday, June 3rd, 2005.
