Chad On Lowe's:

Chad is coming off his worst finish of the season with a 32nd place finish on Sunday at the Mansfield Motorsports Speedway.

"To say that we need a strong run after our last race would be an understatement. We have had a roller coaster season so far and we need to get rid of these peaks and valleys. I cannot think of a better place to have a good run at than Lowe's. I did not test there with the truck open test so I am not sure about the new surface on the track -- but I have heard that it has more grip which will make it faster and even more exciting racing for the fans. Our program on the intermediate tracks has been strong and I expect us to be that this week. TRD gives us some tremendous horsepower and that is crucial at a place such as Lowe's. If all goes well I think we can be there at the end and be a contender for the win."

Chad On Night Racing:

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is becoming a fixture with racing under the lights as the series will do so for 15 of its scheduled 25 races this season. Lowe's will be the fifth race this season already that the trucks have run under the lights.

"These trucks put on a heck of a show each race but there is something special when we race under the lights," said Chad. "As racers we grew up racing under the lights on Saturday nights and the trucks bring that flavor to this level. I know that the fans really enjoy it and I think most of the drivers do as well. Here at Lowe's you tend to see some sparks fly when these trucks bottom out and that adds to the overall feel for the fans. Combine running under the lights with racing at Charlotte and you have one of the biggest shows of the season for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series."

Career at Lowe's:

Chad will be making his fourth career start at the 1.5-mile banked oval of the Lowe's Motor Speedway. In addition to one career start in the NASCAR Busch Series, Chad has two previous starts at the track in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with a career best finish of eighth in the 2003 event.
