Butler heads to 6th new track of season
Brett Butler, driver of the #47 Fuel Doctor Chevy, is once again getting a look at a new track. The Georgia native will be competing in his 7th race of the NACAR Camping World Truck Series race in 2010 and the 6th time at a track he has not competed at before.
Butler will take to the Charlotte Motor Speedway on Thursday for practice in the North Carolina Education Lottery 200, an education he will soon cherish.
Racing at Charlotte is huge for any NASCAR driver. Nearly all the teams reside within one hundred miles of the speedway.
"You always want to run well in front of your family and friends. Most the drivers have been here before. Not the case with me, once again," Butler laughed.
Brett Butler has only turned laps at Martinsville and Homestead before the 2010 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.
"It's tough to go to a new track every week. The practices are not very long, and without the testing that NASCAR has restricted, the learning curve is quite steep! The day I do not have to put on that yellow stripe will be a good thing," Butler stated.
